Molnar, Ferenc (Neumann)
(1878-1952)
   Hungarian writer. Born in Budapest, he studied at the univer-sities of Budapest and Geneva. In 1896 he joined the daily Budapesti Napld. His articles were collected in Memoirs of a War Correspondent. His plays include The Lawyer, The Devil, Liliom, The Guardsman, The Wolf, The Swan and The Red Mill. His novels include The Pal Street Boys. In the 1930s he emigrated to Switzerland, and later to the US.
